N-Power Beneficiaries Lunge At Nigerian Minister On One-Year Anniversary
Beneficiaries of the Nigerian Government's N-Power scheme are swooping on Sadiya Farouq, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development of Nigeria, as some of them still have oustanding stipends, corncity9ja reports.
Corncity9ja had reported on Monday how the continuous demand for better treatment of N-Power beneficiaries caused Farouq to restrict comments on her verified Twitter handle.
However, on the occassion of her one-year in office, the Zamfara-born politician on Friday lifted the restriction on her handle. This allowed beneficiaries to further voice out their grievances.
The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs oversees the National Social Investment Programmes (NSIPs), which the famed N-Power scheme is one of its components.
